About

Eilie H.

I’m an independent writer. I cover business models, cultural shifts, and the ideas that quietly reshape how things work.

My format is deliberate: rather than chasing the daily news cycle, I build single authoritative pages on topics I think are worth understanding deeply. Each page starts as a case study-a long-form analysis-and then grows with structured updates as the story develops. An FAQ section captures the questions people actually search for.

The result is writing that gets more valuable over time, not less.

Why this format?

Most publishing is optimised for the moment of publication. An article is written, read, and forgotten. The internet is full of takes that aged poorly and analyses that stopped updating the moment they went live.

I wanted something different: content that compounds. A case study that gets updated when something changes. An FAQ that reflects what people are actually asking, not what was interesting six months ago.

This is how I think about every topic I cover.

What I cover

My interests sit at the intersection of:

  • Business model analysis - how companies make money, where they’re vulnerable, why they succeed or fail
  • Technology and platforms - the structural dynamics of tech businesses and the industries they disrupt
  • Culture and media - how ideas spread, how institutions evolve, what’s actually changing

I don’t have a narrow beat. I follow the topics I find genuinely interesting.
